Pisagua Historical Route

Departure from the Hotel 09:00 hrs. We visit the monolith that commemorates the Battle of Tarapacá (November 27, 1879). In the area, we also observe the world's largest human geoglyph, the Giant of Tarapacá, 90.6 meters high.

We continued on the route, passing through Huara on the way to the monolith of the Battle of Dolores, November 19, 1879.

We continue on to Pisagua. A tour of its ruins will allow us to see important buildings such as the old corrugated iron fire station, the hotel and jail, the clock tower, the market, and the theater. We will also be able to visit the ruins of the train station and other tourist attractions.

The Pisagua site was fundamental to the conquest of Northern Chile during the War of the Pacific, and it was here that the world's first amphibious landing took place. We will relive this feat through the narration of our expert tour guides and visit the monolith that commemorates the landing site of November 2, 1879. Return to the hotel at 7:30 PM.
